Hi I want to get a twin tuner freeview set top box so I can record whilst watchign something else...they all seem to have hard drives...however, I wanted to knwo if you can record still onto vhs as this would allow me to record and watch it somewhere else if needed...thanks

Yes you can - but only the channel you are watching / tuned in to.

Why not invest in a freeview box, and a dual tuner hard drive recorder that also has the facility to burn to a dvd disk?

oh so I can only record a differnet channel to the hard drive and not via a scart to the vcr with the spare tuner not been watched???
Not unless the vcr has it's own freeview tuner.

got you so am better of getting a single normal tuner and buying a dvd recorder with a tuner then....thanks for the help makes it much clearer what I now need
