The Wicker Man Remake (SPOILER ALERT)

I'm not going to watch this film as it's been getting bad reviews all over the place...but can someone tell me what happens at the end?

Does anyone know what happens right at the end? Does Nicholas Cage's character get killed?

Well if it follows the same story as the original then he will be sacrificed, by being burned in the "Wicker Man".

I've also heard that it is yet another totally sh1t attempt at remaking a classic. In fact I feel a question comming on!

I won't be seeing it either. I have heard that Cage's character is tortured in various ways before being burned.

As usual it seems they have gone for the 'gore-fest' rather than keep it chillingly subtle like the original. I suppose they would have to change it in some ways otherwise what would be the point in a remake?

Hence most remakes are a pile of poo ;o)

At the last moment Nicholas Cage jumps out of the wicker man and guns down everyone who tried to burn him,then flies off into the sunset with a beautiful blonde.
