On the Tweenies, who is Max and Judy?
I thought it might have been some sort of day care setting they go to but why would you have a dog there and you never see their parents dropping them off.

yeah they are childminders/carers. Very early on in the series (episode 1,2) it did begin with parents dropping them off, but you never saw the parents i think. The opening sequence (title credits) shows the kids being picked up on the way to the nursery, but they imagine the car to be a spaceship. As for a dog being there? you are allowed dogs at a childminders as long as they are kept seperate from the children, and anyway its a kids show!
Sorry to shatter any illusions K99 bit the Tweenies isnt a documentary. i think you are asked to suspend a little bit of belief. :)
Anyway - the Tweenies often refer to it as 'the playgroup'. The parents are often mentioned and you sometimes hear them on the phone. There was even an episode in Fizz's house and her mum shouts upstairs. And of course there was the classic episode where Fizz's mum has a baby and you almost get to see her Dad (but we all know it was Justin, who does Jakes voice aswell, doing one of his many accents). I get the feeling that Milo comes from a single parent family and didnt we once see his nan (or did i dream that?).
I suppose Max and Judy just run the playgroup/ nursery. We actually know more about Max and Judy's personal life than the Tweenies. We know all about Judy's home town in Ireland and that Max has a nice MG car that he is doing up and sometimes breaks down.
As far as the dogs go - i dont know what the laws are concerning dogs and childminders are in TweenieTown but Doodles is too lazy to do any harm and Izzles is just annoying. I dont think we should worry too much because we all know How To Play Safe With The Tweenies so i'm sure some fluffy dogs are not much danger to our little friends.
