Why does the music being played in the pub always stop when there is a fight in the Queen Vic?

Often thought that myself Rharris - the actual reason would be as chazza says, to make it seem more dramatic, and so the focus is purely on the people fighting, but it wouldn't always happen that someone goes over and stops the music! But hey, it's soapland!

If they had a pool table all the balls would stop moving as well and people's drinks are stopped half way up to their mouths
