Hope someone can help me with this. If I were to buy a DVD on ebay and it said that it was Region 2, does this mean that it is compatible with UK dvd players? The reason I am asking is that I am trying to buy "Grumpier old men" on DVD as a gift but cannot seem to get it in this country!!

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

yes region 2 is will play in the uk.

Many dvd players can be made to play other regions sometimes with only an odd selection of remote control button pushes. If you want help to see if you can do this please post details of your machine 0 ie make and model number.
