Me too ,my kids love watching him on Brainiac
i know god bless him!
on another report, it says he was going at 280mph, and trying to set a new english landspeed record.

i hope he is okay and wish him a full and speedy recovery.

god bless the Hamster!!

itv said he'd broke the record but they decided he'd do the run one more time,,,
Wilson said "irreplaceable" whoa there, dont write him off like this Quentin, hes still with us, steady on. He will prob be ok yet.
Better news from the hospital this morning, lets hope he makes a full recovery.
so sad - i love that guy, really hope he will be ok and that he will not have live long injuries :-(
his poor wife and daughters must be beside themselves. Scarey given that after his last accident (shown on top gear when he flipped the purple mini-van) he declared 'I could have died!' (while they were all taking the mick out of him).

Hope he gets better soon.
It was reported that Richard had broke the landspeed record
but wanted to do another take for another segment of the show..
I wish Richard Hammond (The Hamster)all the best and that he makes a full recovery ..
he is an excellent presenter both on Top Gear and Brainiac

All the best to him and his family. The latest news I heard was that he was stable but still critical. I hope he pulls through.
Wishing "Hammy" a speedy recovery, he and his family/friends are in my thoughts.

Two threads running at the same time about the same thing, but more importantly it seems he has loads of well wishers.
glad to hear the latest from the hospital is that there's been some sign of improvement. Hope the Hamster makes a full and speedy recovery. Very best wishes to his family and friends. xxx
I am really pleased he is on the mend he is a young man with small children - and if nothing else I hope his accident helps to de-fuse the myth that fast cars are at all glamourous.
Best of Luck with his recovery. Nice bloke, funny presenter!
Interesting cross-section of opinion. I personally like Hammond and Top Gear enormously, and wish him a full and speedy recovery.
I agree the programmes become a bit "Cecil B de Mille" in recent years, but I like the fact that its opinionated, but not didactic thereby not presupposing a wishy-washy, consensual audience. And Richard plays his full part in this. Hammond is obviously an extremely experienced driver, but I feel in attempting stunts like this, one would need to be vastly experienced at travelling at very high speeds, (when things become psychological and margins of error decrease exponentially, requiring extreme skill, as well as courage and simple joi de vivre) - possibly more so than the RH?.
Anyway, as I said, get well soon Hamster.
Hammond! Hope he gets well soon; him, Clarkson and May are like a modern-day Three Stooges.
