Can anyone shed any light on the 'ghost' in Three Men and a Baby? Was it supposed to be a real ghost or was it all a hoax to increase interest in the film?

This was one funny feelgood movie, completely spoiled for me by the gangster sub-plot and creepy ghost. It was just a sub-plot designed to increase interest in the film, but for me it detracted from some of the genuinely funny situations the characters found themselves in.
The story is that in one of the scenes, the ghost of a small boy can be seen in the window. It's meant to be the ghost of a boy that died in the house where the film was shot. The story is completely false though, since the 'ghost' is actually a cardboard cutout of Ted Danson.
moswell is exactly right. I heard this from Leonard Nimoy, the director of the film. The house was of course a stage set, so there never was a little boy living there.
go to www.snopes2.com and go to the TV or film section. From there, there should be a link to the full explanation of this rumour. I don't think the cut out was put there to intentionally look like a ghost, some viewers invented this rumour
Its not a ghost, it is as moswell says A cardboard cut out of ted danson.
