Tarantula discovery by Sean Connery's Bond in 'Dr. No.'
Tiger is in Octopu55y whilst Roger Moore is in India.
Python is in Moore's Moonraker at the Drax Complex
The tarantula scene looks really dated now - because we know full well that a tarantula's bite is painful, but not fatal, so Bond's terror is somewhat OTT. You're a 007 agent you big girl's blouse!
Also, in the tarantula scene, you can quite clearly see a sheet of glass between Connery and the spider!
I seem to remember in the 'Dr No' paperback that it was a giant centipede with which Bond had his altercation. I don't know which was worse! I think I'd rather go with the spider.
I wouldn't LotusEater - a trantula bite is nasty, but not fatal, unless you have a severe alergic reaction, but loads of centipedes have fatal bites!
