What is the name of a cartoon caracter in the 40's or 50's that had a long nose, big eyes, sharp teeth, always wore a big brim hat, wore zoot suits with splat shoes resembled a wolf or black dog and was always a villian.??? Thanks DRP 2/16/06

Several names seem to be around for him in the Tex Avery cartoons for MGM.


Slick the Wolf or Joe Wolf , usually turning up to annoy Droopy.

He resembled a wolf because he was a wolf.


As Mikeyd2 says, in Tex Avery cartoons.


His most famous appearence is in Red Hot Riding Hood.
