Is it a new episode?

Question Author

Not sure barry, but theres more time spent on the story than the repair.

I know, I got fed up of it a while back.  Used to be one of my favourite shows.

The ironing board nearly finished me off

TV channels do this all the time: find a successful show/format and flog it to death

If you was watching this evening it is s a repeat.  What channel was you watching?

Question Author

^^I wish they would flog the customers to death and tell them to sod off out the shed so they can get to work :0)

Can,t remember now was flicking over from side to side but turned it off, when the story started.

If it was the Christmas episode with the Chopper bike, it's from 2019.

They bought a accordion in.

I watched an episode a few weeks ago and moaned all through it because it was all about the story and not the repairs.

I was left with egg on my face when I found out it was a repeat from series 1.

As a teewn, the very last time i had gas to have a tooth removed, i dreamt i was listening to the song 'Come Outside' by Wendy Richard and Mike Sarne.

Even the repairers are getting to be annoying, most of them refer to their own work as perfect or try to make out it's harder than it really is. It's the usual dumbing down of interesting programmes, the sob story is all important, the repairs not so.

I can't take to the teddy bear ladies, they are just so twee.

Question Author

I think they need someone to come through the shed doors to repair the program. <:)

Why do they have to introduce sob stories into everything? I'm not interested in anyone's misery and despair whether it's illness, bereavement  and the favourites at the moment, anxiety and mental health. I want something cheerful and happy.

I like it the way it is...it's about people as well as things.

Oh they always do this dont they?

I used to like '24 hours in A&E' but stopped watching as most of the program was taken up with the patient's back story told by a relative rather than what was actually happening at the hospital

It's far easier to video people talking than showing the skill and fine craft work

See also Ellie Harrison pausing, finishing her sentence then striding out of shot.

They do tend to overuse a 'thing'.
