"1974 Eurovision winner on 45!" Eh?
I wonder if they deliberately play dumb otherwise it's just sad. How can not one of them have heard of a 45 in relation to vinyl records, even more so a trug. I don't expect them to have used one but surely one of them had a parent or grandparent who'd use that word in reference to gardening.

"45, is that the size of the disc?" - priceless, I think I understand now they are turning it into a comedy show!

...gawd the woman in the flower shop has never heard of the Sahara desert! ...It's catching!
Are you watching it now? The florist had never heard of the Sahara Desert rose...unsurprisingly
That's not being 'thick', it's being young.

1974 was nearly fifty years ago, why would you expect twenty-somethings to understand entertainment modules and events from that far back.

Would you?

Can they not search the internet?. Or is that not allowed.

Thick is not a good enough word to describe them!
The florist didn't say she had never heard of the Sahara Desert though, did she? She said she had not heard of Sahara Desert (not THE Sahara Desert) but that was in relation to roses.

Since Sahara desert rose is a name given to a type of rock crystal formation, it's no wonder the florist had no idea what they were on about.

12:00, yes, I know about lots of things from centuries ago. I know about early radio, recording, photography, TV in fact i have a very full knowledge of tech from very early.
I agree andy, not knowing about 1974 and 45s is an age thing, way before their time to be fair, but what really showed how dense they are is the fact that none of them knew how to do a basic thing like read a map!! I love it though, it’s comical.
Not an age thing at all, there has been a huge revival in vinyl records, singles (45s) and LPs (33 1/3) for several years now. If you don't know that then that is nothing to do with age.
"A new report reveals that vinyl sales exceeded 19.4 million for the first six months of 2022. According to a research by Luminate , that amount represents slightly over half, or 53%, of all physical music sales (36.5 million) in the US during the first six months of 2022."

I wonder too, when they do the buying task, why doesn’t the pm just give everyone one item to source (numbers wise a couple may have to take two items) and that way they have all the time to concentrate on getting that one item at a good price, instead of running around like headless chickens in threes and fours, disagreeing and shouting over each other during negotiations. Still, I suppose that would be too obvious, and it doesn’t make good TV.

they must be told what they can't do netty. I've often wondered why they don't just find all the items on the net or phone then go and get them, there must be a reason. I suspect they are told they have to do it the way they do.
Oh I know they can’t use the internet Tora but not sure if they’re told how to actually perform the tasks.
Well, it makes for a laugh every week. And better than most new comedies.
Prudie - the vinyl revival is albums.

No twenty-something with a vinyl collection will know what a single is.
