I don't mind him but Dancing on Ice isn't exactly a major comeback. Not like he's hosting Sunday Night at the London Palladium or something. (is that still on?)
I liked him on have I got news for you,
But then again I liked Rolf Harris,
So what do I know?
The advice doesn't only come from a solicitor. The police tell you that "you do not have to say anything", so why are they baffled if someone keeps saying
"No comment"?
I saw him live before his TV fame and he was as objectionable, unfunny, intimidating, and rude then, as he became during his career based entirely on a silly catch phrase and tenth-rate Basil Fawlty impressions.

The public will judge if he is welcome back on TV, but I am pretty sure that his career ship has sailed.
I think that his time on HIGNFY,proves you right mr Hughes, hislop and Merton were glad to see the back of him, they didn’t support him when he got the push.
Personally I think in there eyes ,he was guilty, then again as I said what do I know, not a lot, keep well mr Hughes.
Wasn't that Angus Deayton Jordy?
I enjoyed his tv shows when he was first on tv but in the later years of his heyday he resorted to bullying and humiliating his guests for laughs- ordinary members of the public.
The Susan Boyle incident referred to earlier was one such incident, this was long before she was famous.
Prudie you’re maybe right my dear,
I am definitely losing the plot,
I could have sworn it was Barrymore
Can I blame the heat?
Or play the age card,
Keep well my dear XX
Not for me he won't be, largely due to the fact I have no telly but I might strike it lucky one day :-(
As far as I know Barrymore never made a guest appearance on HIGNFY. Ian and Paul were very glad to see the back of Angus Deayton when he was sacked for his misdemeanours.
Lets try and put this into some sort of context, he was just a over paid TV entertainer, like many on TV. Lots of people loved him, and lots didn't, ( me not that crazy about him) he hit the jackpot and became a rich man, good for him. What he did, is what many do all over the UK, weather you have a ten million mansion, or a tiny rented flat, he held a drugs party in his house, one of many. Someone died as a result of that party, therefore everyone is question by the police. If your a TV entertainer your career is stuffed, unlike the little chappy in his rented flat. He's paid a high price for being stupid, and there will be lots more stupid people that will hold drug parties, and die from the result. He is now continuing to struggle to make a living. I wish him best
Lots of tv 'faces' lose their popularity and disappear from the tv screen- I can think of many 'celebs' I used to enjoy watching on tv but their careers have waned through no fault of their own.

There's plenty of fresh talent biting at their heels.
That looks like a reasonable assessment of the situation Teacake.
Hc4361,yes it was my stupid mistake as prudie so kindly pointed out,
I got them mixed up because I am old and stupid,
No making excuses but there is a slight similarity in their situations no?
Jordy nothing to do with being old or stupid, we all get people mixed up and yes I agree very similar situation and they were also similar in physical appearance somewhat.
Frank Bough's career ended suddenly when it came out that he took cocaine and partied with prostitutes in a brothel, too.
Yep, I think most would like a crack at fame and fortune, but it can send you off the rails and do the opposite of what you would wish. As they say drugs destroy lives.

When I heard about that I thought he was just grandstanding
I used to like him back in his 'Strike it Lucky/Rich' days. He seemed quite a warm and a little cheeky towards the contestants all in good humour. Years later when On celebrity Big Brother I felt sorry for him losing the plot as it were... however I've never watched DOI so probably still give it a miss.
Ha ha, ag
