The ol' time classic 'the Italian Job'. Does anyone know wether it was possible for them, to be able to get the gold and get themselves out of the bus? How would they have done this?

I read somewhere (but i can't remember where) that there is talk of a sequel to The Italian Job - all these years later - and the main storyline is that they in fact DO manage to get the gold, only to find that Mr Bridger has made a deal with the Italians to return the gold. Then they have to smuggle it back again. I wonder if they'll use the new minis for this mission? Could cause some serious continuity errors... what happened during the 30 years in between? Don't reckon it'll happen myself. Not if they've got any sense. Leave the IJ alone!
I read that someone thought it would be possible for them to keep the engine running and use all the fuel up, and it was enough to balance the bus back. (have no idea if there's any truth in it at all though) also there's something about the new italian job here: http://us.imdb.com/Title?0317740

Einstein is right - and what's worse, the new film is being relocated to Los Angeles.
