Latest storyline - Michelle Fowler who moved to the US years ago and had this child /boy who has now turned up in Albert square for a 'visit'. If he's lived in the US since birth then why does he have a perfect British accent?

Probably lived in a British ghetto in the US all his life.
My 30 yr old daughter born and bred in Spain speaks English perfectly well but mispronounces some words and some are spoken as a foreigner! But that of course is two different languages, not American and English.

It is strange.
Did Michelle settle on the eastern seaboard maybe Boston ? Quite anglicised
The native Boston accent is said to be close the what the early colonists spoke. Not sure it would sound like a 'perfect' British accent' though.
