do you know what? I never have. I have got Frank Borman, the astronaut’s signature but he was the speaker at a service i went to at Westminster Abbey and he spoke to everyone at the (small) reception afterwards and signed out orders of service, so i didn’t have to approach him as such, just queue.
I have a mutual agreement. They don't bother me for an autograph and I won't bother them.
i got anne nightingales autograph in the early 80's (now is or was she a celeb?)
Definitely was and still is.

Description:
I was a keen autograph collector in my youth. I used to go to a lot of concerts in Manchester. I cannot remember the theatres name now though.
I had Billy Fury, Marty Wilde, some John Barry seven members. Tommy Steele,
Eddie cochrane, gene Vincent and loads more.
The silliest thing I had was a piece of Little Tony's birthday cake. We were at the stage door and were invited into dressing rooms. It was his birthday, he signed my book and gave me a slice of cake. I kept it till it went mouldy.
I don't know what happened to him or even what he sang.
Thank you Baldrick, that's the one!
My Dad got Muhammed Ali's, and Eusabio's, and we put them somewhere safe. Fatal :(

When I was at work someone mentioned their daughter collected autographs, so I gave her my album.
I asked Trevor Francis, the footballer, for his autograph back in the 70s. He told me f*** off.

I collected autographs on and off for years, I think the nicest person I asked was Anthony Newley. Never had anyone refuse
