I switched off half way through the first episode. What a pile of piffle! I have all the books - 10 for £10 or something. They are ideal if you want some (very) light reading, but the tv series is beyond light.

had a good laugh at your remarks -well done Old Geezer! i watched the first one and wasn't too impressed, then fell asleep during the latest one. I've read some of the books, nice lightweight reads and funny with it, but the screening seems to miss some of the comedy - anyway, short of having to rewatch the end - has anyone come up with the answer?
