This is nothing new Viv, its been going on for years, and it wont stop until some Politicians with a bit of backbone, put a stop to it!!!!

I was amazed because although you hear these stories I sometimes thought they were maybe a little over hyped.

But we saw on this program that it really DOES happen dispite the Authorities deny it.

Wonder if it's hanged anyone's views in their in/out decision.

I'm not looking forward to seeing it now, especially when I think back to the other programmes where people who have lived and worked here for years get no help!

I watched it too and was shocked at the Romanian family getting a house.
My son has been on the housing list for over 10 years with no luck!!!!

I suppose we paid for the 7 fares to Birmingham. Annd what about all the beds and bedding they were making up? They came with nothing so assume we paid for all that as well.

With those children he can claim enough benefits to avoid work.

it did say that housing benefits would stop if he hasn't got a job within 3 months, at the 5 week stage he hadn't got one so id be surprised if he did. Birmingham obviously don't have a council property waiting list!!!

I watched it gina and was fuming! It is a lovely house and he got that without paying any taxes or NI EVER in this country. Utter madness. He will NEVER work. Even the bloke trying to help him didn't think it was right, and the man interviewing him for the show asked him did he know there was a housing shortage in England.

Certainly a case of the asylum being run by the lunatics. Our whole problem is surely one of the problems of the country being managed by a bunch of ex Etonians who do not have a clue how the normal man/woman on the street is having to live.
