One thing I'm a little confused by - Are the Grundy's living in Caroline and ?? old house and if so - won't it be a little grand for their simple tastes? I know they used to live there but I imagined it had quite an upgrade since they left.
Oliver that's it - Caroline and Oliver
Yes Clary is finding it overwhelming, she's afraid to use anything in the kitchen in case she breaks or dirties it. Pigs in the garden won't go down too well either - wonder if in the future they'll get in to the house and poo on the Amtico flooring :-)
Question Author
The whole story line about Caroline and Oliver going on holiday to Tuscany and not returning home is scarcely believable,as it is, without expanding it into letting the Grundy live in their home. I would trust Clarrie with my best Wedgewood, but the trust doesn't extend to Joe and Eddie !

My best guess is that these cute little piglets that Eddie has bought will grow up to be huge great beasts and will get out and trash Caroline's herbaceous border at some time in the near future.
Thinking about it - doesn't Will own a cottage that he rents out (he lives in a game keepers cottage)
Why didn't he let his parents and grandparent live there?
Question Author
I think his brother Edward is living there at present Ric.

Looks as if the Adam and Charlie story is slowly winding down, but that might of Charlie's leaving party....did they or didn't they ?
Oh I think they did
More to come from that I suspect - Brian never shuts up about Charlie
Question Author
Personally I can't see Adam marriage lasting much longer, and he only has himself to blame. Poor Ian !
Flaky Helen's eating disorder seems to be rearing it ugly head again... Rob' fault, no doubt.
Question Author
Melv....yes I forgot about that !

( for newer fans, Helen had a bad attack of anorexia a few years ago )
Question Author
Nice to see Josh coming forward......He sounds like a nice boy !
Are Roy and Kirsty going to get together?
Question Author
I hope not, as I want Roy and Hayley to get back together. I miss Hayley...she used to be played by Jasper Carrots daughter !
( Dawn from "The Office" )
The powers that be seem to be getting rid of some characters at the moment so I wonder whether Hayley will come back. Alistair, Oliver, Caroline, Johnny (Pat and Tony's grandson), Mike and Vicky, Matt (Lilian's partner), Kathy and her son, any more? I think something's going to happen with Ian and Adam, but can't see Adam going up to Scotland with Charlie, or Charlie staying in Ambridge. Good, though, innit?
Question Author
Ruddy marvelous !
I think we're due for somebody to croak. Either a murder or natural causes, Joe Grundy's farmers lung could finish him off.
Hayley was there for the wassail the other day.
In fact Kirsty sort of apologised to her for moving in with Roy.

Do any English villages really do this wassail business?
They usually keep the older characters as long as the actors want to carry on, and then if the actors die naturally, the character dies in the Archers, so I can't see Joe leaving yet. The pig story at their old home is ridiculous, though, isn't it, the mess it will make.
Actors usually enjoy playing bad 'uns most, so I bet the actor playing Rob T is loving it.
The actor who plays Rob T was at a literary festival last year and gave the talk in character. He was booed by the middle class audience :-)
