Waiting to see The Force Awakens before I answer :)
The Theory of Everything
Don't go to the pics much, but did go to see Jurassic World and thoroughly enjoyed it ..
What chelle said.

Although having said that I've not really seen many films that have come out this year, and the two or three that I have seen were more fun than actually good. In particular, I missed a couple of the possible contenders in Inside Out and The Martian.

Just a fleshy blur McFluff?

Mad Max was the best shot film this year - the cinematography was really old fashioned, in a good way and the world was really nicely realised. The story's rhythm was very odd and quite interesting for it.

Also, it's great that the entire characterization of Max is pretty much done in the first two words of the title. Literally nothing else needs to be said about his character!

It was fun, but not stupid :)
I don't like films which have the F-word in every sentence; Scorsese's 'GoodFellas' used it 212 times (I didn't count them, I read that fact) so I no longer go to the cinema, we watch DVDs instead - 'Call for Saul' just arrived this morning.
can't wait to see Anomalisa
Years ago – when I imagine I was perhaps a bit pretentious – I wanted films to leave me pondering important things, but the world has gradually become a nastier place and I just want to laugh my head off now. Minions did it for me, puerile as it was in places. The scene where Stuart smashes his guitar to bits before reluctantly accepting his ‘joke’ snow globe gift had me in stitches.
Minions is actually the only film I've seen - I think - and good as it was I am rather hoping The Force Awakens will be better ...
I think Spectre was the only one I've seen this year, and it might have been okay with an hour less running time. Waiting for Mad Max, Jurassic Park and Inside Out on DVD though.
