Have a look at Not On The High Street - they do loads if personalised items.
Depends on the complexity and size.
very much so as to Zacs and what you want done, my ex had two silver lockets mounted on cufflink stems with sepia and white photos of my kids, courtesy of Garrards at a reasonable price, an inspiration to them for a potential product....

I think what I had in mind would be fairly simple. Ive seen scallop shapes ones from a Spanish site for about 80 Euros. I know a commission would be dearer but the sky's not the limit.
You could try this silversmith, she may well do a commission. Her mother is a friend of ours.,

Jomifl, I'll e mail her in the morning
Any Joy?
Question Author
Jomifl, she doesn't do commissions except to customise items already in her catalogue. She gave me a couple of sites and I had a look but decide to get a pair from the site based in Santiago.
She does know the Camino, her mother has a house on it, and its door handle is in the form of a scallop shell.
It's a small world.
Glad you got it sorted out one way or another. Are the cufflinks to be worn on a long journey?
Question Author
No. If I wore cufflinks I'd feel I should sport a tie. The least I could wear with them would be a smart casual jacket. A rucksack would spoil the cut of my jib so I'd need a lightweight suitcase.
Much better they're left at home when I'm on my peregrinations.
I wish more men wore cufflinks. I hate to see button cuffs. Cufflinks are so much more classy. I had a pair of silver links made in Greece several years ago and the cost then was early 90 e. It was October and the silversmith was closing up business for the winter so that's why I got the cheaper than usual. Good luck Sandy. xx You'll look very dandy in your new attire. Dandy Sandy.
Sandy. Google Annette Petch who has a workshop in Sheffield. I've had a commission made by her.
