They've been showing trailers for this with various celebs and their achievements and then they say "Rylan Clark with over 1 million social media followers"

Surely they could've come up with something better than that?

I like Rylan and I hope he does well.

Can NEVER understand why someone posts 'who cares' on a thread, but DN does it a lot! Seems pointless to me .......
stop picking on people its pathetic
Anyone that appears on telly for their 15 minutes of fame is classed as a celebrity or anyone that knows a celebrity, we had Judy Murray on Strictly as her son is a "Celebrity" Natalie Lowe from Strictly is also on Masterchef along with Arlene Phillips Yvette Fielding and the eternal celebrity Keith Chegwin should be fun!!
I hope it doesn't get too 'cheffy' like it usually does - keep it real!
I'm not sure what you mean by your last comment Retro.

The contestants are exposed to some great talent to learn from, safe home cooking is not going to set them apart.

Beautiful presentation is a skill and is what gives many dishes the edge, you eat first with your eyes.......
Eccles -I don't expect them to serve up egg and chips. This fashion on Masterchef for adding ridiculous things like 'foam' which looks like someones spit on the dish, or 'beetroot caviar' blobs of jellied puree that probably taste of nothing. Even the presenters have told contestants their dishes were too 'cheffy'. I've had food that looked spectacular that disappointed in taste, and had food served in a small roadside bistro in France that looked a bit like dogs dinner and was wonderful. There can be a happy medium.
I love 'cheffy' food. I definitely eat with my eyes.
i usually eat with my mouth....

when's it on? i like rylan he makes me laugh and he's not afraid to take the pee out of himself
BBC1 on Thursday, June 18, at 9pm
In other words...tomorrow :-)
Am I allowed to say don't know who they are but would rather be trampled by a herd goats than watch some of those cooks .Hope the director would slap one them or two of five or half million or how ever many there is of them .
How come noone's mentioned the great Syd Little yet?
who's he?
I'm looking forward to seeing Danny Crates, I think he's going to be an eye opener for some.
Shock horror! Little and Large! You don't remember Eddie Large impersonating Popeye and Benny from Crossroads?
lol no idea what you are on about!
It never matters to me whether I have heard of them or not - I like to see their personalities and how they change and cope through the programme.

I have of course heard of Sid.

Fluff is only a young 'un.
OH watching this tonight and those two clowns are talking as much drivel as usual.
