It's nearly twelfth night - although mine are long gone to the loft ...

... except for one that is ...

I always have one tree decoration left out (usually hidden in a house-plant), my mum said it was good luck & meant you'd survive until next Christmas.

Does anyone else have this odd tradition - or is it just my weird family?

On purpose or by accident, Dave?

I have six fairies who live in the sitting room on purpose....but each year... around March when I do some dusting I find the overlooked Christmas decoration....x
My 'angel' will stay all year round
We've always left our decorations up until the sixth of January, this year I took them down the 1st and only left the crib, I'll take that down tuesday night
Mrs av has taken them down today, Dave. I miss them already, the house seems bare !.

My mum said it had to be deliberate ... so I have a single crystal ball (stop sniggering at the back there) which lurks in a house plant until next December.
snigger snigger, from the back.
Oh, Dave......... that's not the one you were juggling with on here the other day is it?
We took ours down yesterday. I've never heard of leaving one out deliberately. But we did survive anyway.
Hope he washed his hands....
I've still got my fat fairy up
(it says fibre optic angel on the box but she is definitely a fat fairy).
I couldn't put my tree up this year because I couldn't find it (it's only about an inch and a half tall and stands on the mantelpiece).
I didn't put any up this year. I did put the cards on every surface of the living room but no decorations.

I still have a tiny articicial holly wreath on the hall table. That's been there since last year. Not tradition, I just keep forgetting to put it away.
Did it get "recycled" mrs chappie?
I think I shoved it a a drawer somewhere...it's so tiny it's easily lost. I think it came out of a Christmas cracker one year.

As you can tell, I'm not big on Christmas decorations. :o)
It's always such a shock when they've gone.
It is when you come down in the morning and the Little People have done it for you, Tilly......♣
Send the little people over here, please, Gness
Five minutes, Psybb.....just finishing off some wax effigies......☻
Oh gawd.
And I can guess the beneficiaries of those xx
