Oh no the Semi Final can't believe it has gone so fast :-(

Patisserie this week which is a real test of skills. Treats on offer will be baklava, German schichttorte and entremets. Can't wait here is the taster:

NOTICE TO GRUMPY PEOPLE: If you are posting here to complain about the Great British Bake Off being on again, how "boring" you find it, or to ask "what's the point" you will be suspended. This is fair warning. To be absolutely clear: we don't care what you think about GBBO :)

I haven't seen it. I seem to have always missed it. Everybody tells me it's great so, next series, I'll DEFINITELY be glued to the telly. LOVE anything to do with cakes and puds... yumsy !!
who is going tonight... i reckon richard & chetna will def be in the final not sure who is going though...
I think it will be Nancy.... She was lucky to have stayed last week.
Hope the show stopper is a bit more show stoppery tonight - thought last week's eclairs were a bit of a let down (not saying I could have made them though).
Nancy would be my pick to go tonight but you just never know I guess, someone could slip and crash out, just so long as it's not lovely Richard :)

I think it will be between Nancy and Luis though.

I reckon Luis is a semi professional baker! He just does stuff that you wouldn't normally do, he is too 'expert'
Ooh, not now he isn't though!
Ooh will be get marked down for the non-typical Baklava!!! They were pretty but didn't sound like the taste impressed.
it wasn't eclairs last week was it?
Ooh, more layers, that looks really tricky to get neat! It looked like he was counting the layers too at the beginning!
It was Donuts last week...
It was eclairs one week, thought it was last week but I've got a memory like a sieve - wonder what it was last week then if it wasn't eclairs?
When it gets to the second bake and Paul and Mary are out the back with a perfect example of whatever cake it is, I wonder who bakes it? I wonder if it`s been done by a local bakery or if Paul has knocked it up in his kitchen the night before.
Last week was fruit loaf, povitica and doughnuts.

Wow, that is a lot of patience for a cake, though the ready made one did look very pretty.
i wish mary wouldn't keep saying "lairs" !
Double take there with schichttorte and wondering if Ed is going to put this term on the sweary list.

They're used in Denmark and Germany for celebratory cakes.....

Blimey, that Mel doesn`t half look different without her make up on.
It seems like a lot of faff for a cake, but then I am not known for my patience.
Ooh Chetna bottom of the technical, doesn't bode well!
brilliant shcichttorte from Louis, Chetna's I would term as scheißetorte
