I want to record audio off my computer, what is the best free recorder programme, I used to use Freecorder, on Firefox, but I seem to have trouble with it

Thanks for that Buenchico, I do have that installed but I was not aware one could just record audio from one's computer with it.

I used it to transfer my old discs and tapes into MP3 tracks via the appropriate equipment.
Sorry, I misread your post.

Audacity can directly record whatever your computer is playing as long as your sound device (whether that be 'on-board' sound from your motherboard or a separate sound card) makes an input available to Audacity. (Some do, some don't). Otherwise you need to find a 'cheat' to get round the problem.
