On the way to church on Sunday evenings Mr. c and I listen to radio 2 and they do a slot where they play old tv themes. Well I've never heard of the tv comedy- Clochermerle. Have any of you? Did catch a bit of the theme which seemed to be brass band. Could someone find link for theme if possible. Many thanks. cupid04.

Can remember it but didn't watch it much. It was about the installation of an 'open to view' Public Convenience in a town in France, I think.
Yes that's exactly it:

I remember it being very funny but it would probably appear a bit dated now.
Heres a clip.

Can't find a theme tune as yet - will look a bit longer.
Neither can I, Cap'n.
Funnily I was looking for this theme a few weeks ago - I can't remember finding it.
Great series, a forgotten gem - (except for those that remember it of course.)
I didn't find it funny at the time...it comes from an era where if you said "French" and "toilet" in the same sentence it was hilarious.

Can't find the theme on You Tube but the incidental music was arranged by Alan Roper and played by L'Harmonie Du Rhone, Lyon, under the musical direction of Raymond Jarniat and presided over by Maitre Gilles Ducrot.
Well done, shoota.
The Greenjackets one isn't the one used in the show but it's pretty close.
Just a bit Britishy....
Not Frenchy.

Thanks shoota, you're a star. You are awarded best answer and a cupid04 kiss...X.

Don't think I ever saw the programme. Would have only been about 13/14 and probably past my bed time, lol!
Thank you peach X
The one on the show was much more authentically French and better....
Same here, cupes ;-)
£30 and you can have the score, all you've got to do then is hire some musicians.
