Deadwood - Sky One

Hi Aber's, advice needed please ....  we watched the first episode of series 2 last night and wondered if we could get some feedback on what series 1 was like and whether we really need to watch season 1 to get up to speed or if we can get straight into season 2 ....

It's one of those shows where you can watch S2 without necessarily having seen S1 (it's easy enough to pick up what's going on), but you'll definitely enjoy S2 more if you have seen the first season.

As for what S1 was like: brilliant! (Assuming that you don't object to the language). It sounds as if you were intrigued by the episode you saw, and so I think you'll enjoy the first season. Come to think of it, if you had seen the episodes in order you would have been surprised by the sherriff's wife turning up and known who the drunk lady on the horse was...

LeMarchand - Thank you!! Yes we were intrigued and the language was fine (made us giggle it was so naughty in places) We have a mate who will lend us S1 so I think that's a good move as we want to properly understand the story lines. Thanks again!
