Am I alone in thinking that Oliver Stone is nothing more than an egotistical/maniacal indavidual hell bent on uncovering the "TRUTH", or rather ....."HIS TRUTH"?  Give me strength or give me pharmaceutical strength cough meds.  I'll be happy either way but I'd rather debate......

i'm not sure, but i watched alexander on dvd yesterday and was shocked at what a pile of poo it was. it was atrocious. what shocked me more was that i found out oliver stone had directed it. i seriously think he was trying to pull an emperors new clothes trick on hollywood studio execs.
Watch "Salvador". I think that his heart is in the right place, though he does go on a bit...

some of OS's films are fantastic. Platoon, Born on the 4th of July, Any Given Sunday and JFK are all exceptional. I'm not sure why you are getting hung up on this truth nonsense. Do you have to agree with his world view to enjoy his movies?

Jimmer, you didn't mention his greatest masterpiece Natural Born Killers. One of the best films ever made, in my humble opinion.

I watched the special features on the DVD the other day and from the interview with OS, he comes across as very down to earth and nothing like how iamORION described him.

Talking of egotistical maniacs though, I hope you don't really think you're Orion. lol
