Dracula - not the film - the original Bram Stoker book - scared the living crap out of me. Windows locked & lights on overnight for weeks.
I'm glad I'm not the only one to have been scared silly by the Childcatcher in Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang! More recently, The Sixth Sense, The Others and The Woman in Black
Yes, I believe it was, horseshoes.
lol phleb yes I scare that easily. Just remembered I did watch Stephen King’s The Langoliers when it was done as a TV mini-series in the late 1990’s. No way would I sleep on a plane after watching that. That’s if you could get me on a plane in the first place that is lol
I'm not sure Tony, I know at the time our local Cinema was offering £25 to anyone who would watch it at midnight. (1962 ish)

A line that haunts me, "Even now, I can hear her bloody finger nails, scratching at the coffin lid" cuts away to film woman trying to get out of coffin.

Just recalled another that scared me 'at the time' - now it just is laughable...
The Beast with Five Fingers, hub used to scare me 'walking' his hand along back of sofa.
Yeah, I think I remember that film, ferlew ( Beast with five fingers ) was it about a concert pianist that lost one of his hands in an accident ?. But the lost hand lived !.
The Fall of the House of Usher in glorious technicolor
