My language was disgusting at 20. That said, their is "funny" camp and "creepy" camp, and Craig is creepy camp. The bloke makes my skin crawl, with his beer gut and man breasts, running around after Anthony like a lap dog.

Did you us ethat language  in front of yoru parents?
No but Craig is doing things to get votes they all are... He thinks he is so cool..... except he does things under the duvet on his own... Do I need to say anymore.....

What do you mean "for a 20 year old"?

If his parents have any sense - they won't be watching.

Perhaps his written English, in terms of spelling and grammar makes up for it.  Who knows?  We're evidently not all perfect in that respect!

1) 'Craig's language' not 'Craigs language'

2) Missing question mark after 'watching'

3) Missing full stop after 'him'

4) 'There is' not 'their is'

5) 'Use that' not 'us ethat'

6) 'your' not 'yoru'

7) Comma after 'No'

8) Missing question mark after 'anymore'

And so on.

Why Aschenbach, why?
Wile we're on the subject of grammar, I noticed you put and at the beginning of your sentence, with a capital letter, the word hypocrite comes to mind.

"And" at the beginning of a sentence is perfectly acceptable.  Read Lyn Truss.

Aschenbach - well said.  That was my point entirely.  When I first read it words like "pot", "kettle" and "black" sprung to mind.  Or "glass houses" and "stones".

What is the harm in correcting written communication?  It's no different from correction oral communication!!!

It's arrogant, and pointless, this isn't the sort of site where people come to be judged on their bad grammar or spelling, if people want to make mistakes then thats their prerogative, and if it was just a simple mistake, why correct them, I'm sure theyll learn for themselves when they grow up.

I don't know how old each poster is.  I missed that section of the website.  Do tell us all where it is!  Thanks.

Maybe Craig will learn better language when he grows up too.  Didn't that occur to you!?!  Or to others?!

If hopalong is free to judge Craig on his language, when he is not here to defend himself, then others are free to comment on hopalong's grammar as this user IS here to defend themselves.  And they have a back up team in you seal!

It might be arrogant - but it's not pointless at all.  If people aren't told they won't learn.  We don't know whether it's simple typos, ignorance or laziness.  It doesn't hurt to point it out any more than it hurts to sl*g off a guy on BB.

Aschenbach.  I will write 100 times.  'I must improve my spelling'

ACW   Yes, it's probably laziness on my spelling and grammar.  I simply just wanted to make a point. If I spent more time then it would be better.  By the way, I am 45.

Which is why I didn't like to make presumptions.  I realised there was a good chance that it was just slip ups and never thought it was stupidity.

I guess my point was just that if you're going to dig at someone's language, it does rather diminish your point if you don't be careful with your own!

I wasn't meaning to be snooty or arrogant! I promise! :-)

PS - I do agree that foul language should be avoided - esp. on TV!!

Instead of "you don't be" please read "you fail to be".  LOL  **** ups happen to the best of us!!!

Question Author
ACW:  It was Craig's foul language I was  talking about in the first place not his grammar
I'm sure Craig's grammar is a lovely old woman....
I get that.  It doesn't matter.  I was trying to end this on a happy note.  I never meant to cause offence.  Perhaps it could also be borne in mind that it wasn't me who took the red pen to your question and pointed out all the grammar errors in it.
