I`ve got one of those attachments that came with a hand blender and I occasionally use it for chopping herbs. I`ve just got Rick Stein`s India cookbook and he uses a mini food processor for mixing spices and spice pastes. Is a mini food processor much better than the hand blender chopper thingie?

I have weeny one from COSTCO...good for chopping veg and herbs ..easier than faffing with attachments !
I'd suspect it is "horses for courses". Buy the type that suits you.
How about a coffee mill for grinding spices? I've seen lots of tv chefs use them for that
I have a hand blender that came with a mini food processor. It's great.

Thanks for the replies. I think I`m going to go with the mini food processor. The attachment that came with the hand blender is good for chopping herbs but isn`t exactly a food processor. I don`t want a full size processor as I have a blender but if I get the mini one and I don`t use it, at least it won`t take up much room the the cupboard
