Which film has the best 'twist ending'?
101 Answers
I'm going to spend some time over the next few months, raiding LoveFilm and Netflix for the best 'twist in the tale' films, and I'd like to get a head start with a list of films to view.
I've already seen quite a few (No Way Out, The Sixth Sense, Passengers, The Others, The Village, Orphan, Identity, Les Diaboliques), and need to compile a list the next lot to view.
Any suggestions?

True story...
I went to see The Sixth Sense whilst visiting a mate in Boston. He suggested we "go out to see some new Bruce Willis film about a kid that can see ghosts".
I like a good ghost movie, so agreed that web should get tickets.
Mote: I had no idea whatsoever that there was a twist at the end. I was completely in the dark - all I knew was that it was a ghost story.
Anyway, remember the end when he returns to his house and his wife is sitting in the chair and drops the wedding ring ("Oh John, why did you leave me?"), literally the whole cinema got what was happening - well, everyone except me.
I still didn't have a clue when he tried to open the door to the basement.
It was only when he staggered up the stair clutching his bloody stomach that I got it. And in an overly loud voice, I exclaimed, "OH...I GET IT...HE'S DEAD!!!"
Cue the whole auditorium bursting out in laughter at me.

‘Arlington road’ is a great shout, apart from those that have been mentioned there’s a little shown TVM called ‘Spellbinder’ which caught me out and I think I’m the only bugger that’s ever seen it!
Another great shout is ‘A Beautiful mind’, if you get it when you get a mo watch it with Ron Howards commentary over the top... the clues are there... can’t believe I didn’t suss it from the pigeons.
