After EIGHT years chasing CSA for my son's father to pay towards him, and with me endlessly calling them to tell them that yes he is on benefits but yes he also works full time cash in hand, and even telling them where he works, and yes he does also drive a Merc, and yet gets his rent and council tax paid for, they have awarded me................SIX pounds a week!! Not backdated either. And the reason for the low amount? "He is claiming benefits and doesnt earn enough" YES HE DOES - he earns a blooming fortune cash!!
Am going to calm down now......

can you not report him, or have you, to the benefits people? they would be interested to know that he is claiming whilst working, and six quid a week, wow you can go a long way on that, or not..
Spend the money wisely Smow!
Ooh Smow, what are you going to do with all that extra money?

Ive told the benefits people many times, as it gets me so cross when anybody claims benefits they arent entitled to. Doesnt make a blind bit of difference from what I can see as nothing changes. He even has an Ebay account where he sells loads of stuff Del-Boy style. Why do some people get away with everything?? I would get caught dropping a tissue in public lol. As for the HUGE amount of money, well that will pay for 2 school dinners - wow!
sorry smow, but you have to laugh don't you. Deep Breathe....

Now, buy some postage stamps before they go up, or have they already? for
when you write, always better in writing, to benefits people to report him. x
The CSA are useless and now the government is going to make the Mums pay to use them.
Now you have a payment plan from him report him to the benefit people not the csa , report him as a benefit fraud with everything you know.
Might not do you any good though, if he gets a large fine and has to repay the benefits he will probably tell the CSA he can't pay anything at all.
You could tell him you know all about his cash in hand work and say that unless he pays you a decent amount say £100 a week you are reporting him , nothing like a little blackmail ;-) I know several ' ex couples' who have a similar 'private arrangement'
As I said don't bother the CSA with this they can't take notice of this type of information ( it happens too often with disgruntled wives) but the benefits fraud squad can and will investigate.

CSA are s*dding useless. Lucky im not desperate for money isnt it! The letter even says that he has been told to pay £6 per week but they can only send it to me if he sends it to them !! Utterly mad.
CSA are a waste of time.

They only bother if you're claiming all the benefits you can get. Have a job....they don't care.

Welcome to the real world and SNAP - same happened to me. My husband went self-employed and claimed that he was earning very little. Paid absolutely nothing for years - I had four children - eventually he started paying something ridiculous like 10p a week.

The CSA are an appauling waste of taxpayers money. I was insulted with their rubbish letters - with their pages of calculations and then the final amount to be paid was 10 p a week.

Years later the ex-husband had managed to buy himself a house in France and him and his partner have bought a house in this country too. Morons !

If you have the emotional capability, and absolute lack of conscience to walk away from your whole family, young children and all, and never look back, financially you can do quite well. Personally, I think he is a moron !
it will cost more than six quid in admin costs, what a bloody waste of time, as Eddie says report him again to the benefits people, they do usually listen...

Confused? why? Still stand by my post yesterday, just annoying when people cheat the system and dont want to provide for their children, dont you agree?

Eddie I hope you have reported these ex couples.
Ignore him smowball...

In an ideal world every man should want to support their own kids.

And women...but they rarely walk out on their kids.
Right Smowball get in touch with the tax office cash in hand and drives a Merc ! think it, needs a closer look
Some do ummmm probably more than we get to know, and sometimes they just can't cope and they get judged so badly instead of people helping them.
Just among my friends and acquaintances I know 4 women who simply walked out on their kids, all four just because they had met a new man who didn't want the kids .
I wouldn't let it get to you.

I'm assuming he no longer sees your son either? You got the better deal, you got your son out of it.

You obviously can't get any more out of this, no point getting frustrated- concentrate on doing what he's missing out on, bringing up your son.

Karma will get him- eventually :-)
