I wish the script writers or researchers who do their homework?

There is no way the Taxi driver accused at first would have been given a licence if he had spent time in prison for assault or GBH.

His application would have to been granted, only if he had passed the CIB check and, he wouldn't have been a proper person to hold a carriage licence!

That reminds me of an episode of The Bill where they said a suspect was a known suicide bomber! If he's a suicide bomber then he wouldn't be still here now would he?
A failed suicide bomber - the ultimate ignominy.
It was a good story nevertheless.
Get you dead terrorists here!

Chrissa1 and Albaqwerty did you notice who played the taxi driver? It was
Ariyon Bakare who used to play Doctor Ben Kwarme in Doctors!
Don't they have pirate taxis in London?
Yes ..he was probably unlicensed and moonlighting .He did a runner and said he had knocked off stuff in his boot when they questioned him .
He wouldn't have run otherwise .
Watch the American version it's briiliant .
UK version is very good and they use the US version in the stories .
But you can't beat Lennie Briscoe and Logan .
I prefer Law and Order SVU.
I love the whole lot daffy :)
I'm on edge for series 8 of law & order to be released here .
I used to like Criminal Intent too (known as 'Criminal in a tent' by me and my daughter) but went off that a while ago. I've never even watched the UK one as these sort of series never work when made over here.
I do agree daffy .
They do sort of follow the US American version regarding the stories but nowhere near as as good as the US versions.
I love dear old Bradley ..but he can't compete with the late great Jerry Orbach.
I like SVU too .I'm an American cop show junkie .
Have you see Homicide .Life on the Street ?
It's brilliant ..Richard Belzer from SVU is in it .
daffy and shaney......I watched the american dramas for a while but same old format....Did you watch' The Killing' the original Danish version much better than the american, they also try and copy a lot of ours that dont work.
Hi chi chi ..but I just could not get into The Killing ..or the sequel .
I tried ..I really tried :)
Wallander was my hit . Not the Branagh ones ( although they were good ) but the Swedish version with Krister Henriksson and the films with Rolf Lassgård.

Yes they do sandyRoe but, they dont park on the taxi ranks as other licensed drivers would report them, they usually hang about outside bars and night clubs!
