I was channel surfing last night and came across Derek Acora trying to contact Michael Jackson. There were some Jackson look a likes sitting round the table with him. I flicked the channel over when Derek started to give a message to some poor lad dressed in a white Jackson type military suit, the poor kid was crying his eyes out.

Snap! The digi-box said it was something with Ross Kemp, but up popped this.

Interesting how Derek claimed he was 'in touch' with Michael Jackson - but it's not as if he's going to sit there and say 'You know what? There's nothing here, clough hall ...' so he goes through his pantomime.

It was sad to see the delusional fans mocked by this nonsense, at least they are not being paid for their humiliation.

I find Derek Acorah really creepy and strange - the programme was first broadcast not long after Jackson's death, and was voted the most risible programme of that year.

So nothing's changed then!

I recall watching Acorah on an episode of Most Haunted a few years ago. During this particular episode, he was 'possessed' by the spirit of the ghost of the house. The sceptic in the group started asking him relatively easy questions, such as "what year did you die?" All the questions were answered by our new spirit friend.

So far so good for Derek. Then the sceptic asked who was the British monarch when the spirit died, to which Derek replied (in character) angrily "Find out for yourself!" The sceptic just looked at the camera as if to say..."I rest my case". Priceless.
