I was just watching maury and he had a 13 year old girl on that was ran over by her grandmother or mother.
The 13 year old was crying and was saying that she's teased and bullied by her classroom peers and maury then proceeded to run his fingers across the scars which were on her inner knee and on the outside of her thigh.
Now i know maury didn't mean nothing by it and was being watched by a whole audience, crew and several million viewers.
Do you think that maybe he should've thought that one out?
Had the mother or grandmother being offended they could've easily tried a sexual assault case against him and afterall he is a multimillionaire and celebrity.
What do you think?

I think that you are trying to make something out of nothing..
i think you are looking into it too much.

Hardly nothing cazzz1975, this is the usa i'm talking about and cases like this are commonplace.
who's Maury, the only one I can find is a US show?

Welcome to Answerbank by the way - you've posted loads of questions on your first day!
whatever happened to being able to talk to and comfort a child, why does anyone need to make it into an abusive situation or think of it as being risky in anyway to natural want to give comfort or support to another.
I have not changed my initial opinion.

Agreed redcrx, this is what i've already said in my opening title.
My question to those that didn't bother read it is should he have been a little cautious owing to the kinds of courtcases that the media would have a frenzy with?
No.. He was doing it in public, on TV, not groping - just emphasising the scars, and it sounds as if he wasn't doing it in a salacious way.
im not sure we are in agreement, Morgan. It would not have entered my mind to even think he was taking a risk. I still think you are reading too much into it
I was recently on a coach tour holiday to Scotland, being 86 years old I struggle a bit getting on & off the vehicle, the driver apologised for not helping me but said they have instructions not to put a hand on anyone for fear of litigation for assault. In my honest opinion it's P C gone bloody mad.

W Ron.
Of course not he was touching scars on a LEG quite openly in front of thousands of people- what is sexual about that? Absolutely absurd to even consider that any form of sexual assault case could stem from that- btw- I have no idea who Maury is.lol.
<<In my honest opinion it's P C gone bloody mad.>>

Nothing to do with Correctness; Political or otherwise.

It is a result of over-active Lawyers encouraging people to make money from working, exploiting and abusing a legislative system that has always been there.

Bravo zeuhl you actually understood what i was saying.
How viable would it have been to gain a payout had th family being evil minded and tried to construct a courtcase out of these innocent actions?
It wouldn't have stood a chance........

Do get a grip.
lol...
Who is Maury and really who cares....you sound like a lawyer on the troll - sorry trawl.
Okay once again since you don't appear to be listening to anyone- THEY WOULDN'T HAVE STOOD A HOPE IN HELL- are you American perchance?
Question Author
No i'm not a lawyer on the trawl or from the us.
If i was i'd hardly be on a uk based site asking questions regarding Us law would i?
Never know - their law is largely based on Case law.
