Did anyone else watch this last night?

Some of the reviewers were complete morons! One guy who took it upon himself to review how well the hotels catered for children and families, despite the fact he didn't actually have any children and the guy who insisted he couldn't sleep in the same sheets for one than one night (and marked the bedding with a pen to see if they changed it). I wonder if he changes his sheets at home every day.

They were definitely on their own mini power trips. Although some of the hoteliers were prats too.

Just watched it. The Australian woman was a total bitch. She can dish it on a computer but put her face to face and the hint of a negative comment she does a runner.
I think there ought to be a 'Guest Advisor' where any establishment can warn those carrying on a similar a similar business about the mean, petty, vindictive, destructive, ungrateful and untruthful nature of a potential customer........
*Needless to say, I seem to have included one too many 'a similar' in the above...
I have stayed many times in a hotel in Rhos on Sea and loved it. On Trip Advisor it was slated by most reviewers and I felt so sorry for the quiet unassuming owner who always made us very welcome that I sent a glowing positive one and hope that in some way this redressed the balance. I found the nerd last night who marked his bedding with a pen quite obnoxious and I can only hope that people who know him and watched this, tell him, in no uncertain terms, what they think of him!
I get a feeling he probably doesn't have many friends, notas :D
Friends definitely not, but acquaintances hopefully, or maybe people who recognise him in the street!
Didn't know something like this was on - will there be a repeat - to be honest I am in the holiday industry and I am scared of trip advisor - as flip the switch said some customers can literally ruin a business need to see this !!
Channel 4OD.
You can watch it on 4od, lyndy.

I certainly think I'll take any reviews I look at with a pinch of salt in the future. I think this show has worked largely in the hoteliers favours.

Lindy, I'm not sure if it will be repeated but you'll probably find you can watch it on 4OD online.
i am a hotelier and have received many very upsetting reviews in trip advisor.i have been extremely upset as they have done my business a lot of harm. do these prats realise how hard we work ?and that we put our whole lives into our businesses.it is so obvious that these reviewers have never stayed at the places they are reviewing!all reviews should be authenticated.businesses are being ruined by lies!!
I think peoples expectations are too high. Like one of the ladies said people want bijou style for the price of B&B...

I have never in my life, regardless of B&B or hotel, ever inspected the toilet brush...
i watched this, it was certainly a case of people being quite bold on a computer and then being a coward when face to face. the aussie/new zealand woman was horrible, and when they walked out, i think that showed her true colours. a coward, still imagine if that is what she does to hotels/b+b's what would it be like to live on the same street as her, probably always ringing the council to report neighbours for something or other.
I watched some of it, I found it quite hard to sympathise with either party, the people doing the reviews were mostly on an ego trip and the owners I saw were also behaving fairly stupidly so I ended up just laughing at them all... Don't think it was supposed to be a comedy though.
They seem to treat it like it's a second job....and justified themselves by saying they were doing it for the good of others. Botox....they do because they can and the feeling of self importance it gives them.

Something would have to absolutely dire for me to give it a bad review.
Theres a point here, I stayed up in Marsham in Norfolk not long ago at a place called the Plough Inn Trip advisor gave in nothing less tha 4 stars and when I got there it fully warranted that opinion.

I have just been on to look at current reviews and its still 4 stars. No criticism so the point is if your good enough, you won't get any bad reviews.
I don't really think this program showed anyone in a good way. The reviewers were as others have said, Prats and the B&B and restaurant owners saying they couldn't give a F*** what they thought didn't look good either. I have used Trip Advisor many times over the years to give and receive advice and usually find the answers I get to questions very good. The majority of people on there give out good advice, do it free and give up hours of their time to do it. Often going out of their way while on holiday to get the answer for you. You will always get people who seem to get a kick out of running a place down but shouldn't tar everyone that uses the site with the same brush.
You can see that for the first time in their miserable lives, these chinless morons finally think they have "power", and it has clearly gone to their heads.
I bet they save up just to be able to go and stay in B&B's in order to get a kick from slating them.
Shameful creatures.
I think the owners saying they didn't give a fcuk was just a defensive reaction. If they really didn't care they wouldn't have got so upset about it.
Whether it was defensive or not they knew the cameras were there and that it could be aired which wouldn't have helped their cause. Yes I could see why they were getting upset with some of the stuff those idiots were writing but got to be careful when the cameras are about.
