Anybody remember these!!! Being repeated on ITV3 on Saturday nights. I thought they were great, they certainly don't make them like that anymore.

Yes I remember them as a child - they gave me mega nightmares!  I own the DVD box set now, as well as the sequel 'Hammer House of Mystery and Suspense'.

BTW there is already a recent thread about this topic with several replies.

Hi pilchard.  There is still a Hammer film maker based at the Elstree Film Studios.  It's worth looking them up on the net for more information.
hey what about Roald Dahl's Tales of the Unexpected - they also gave me nightmares as a child. 
I sometimes think that the old black and white (is that pc to say that? I get so worried about upsetting someone these days) films and those old B movies were by far the best.

By the start of the 1980's the entire British Film Industry was The Hammer House of Horror, and the Carry On Films.

Such fond memories I have of both.
