Better than that excitable irritating squeaky 'me me me' idiot that proceeds him in the morning !!
Gentle humour and a music quiz has no expiry date in my humble opinion, now Sally Traffic, that's another discussion.
No - and he has a lovely voice!

I get a bit tired of the trading insults with the traffic Lady.

Mind you, he's not alone in that.

I didn't type lady!

I said traffic b i n t.
Definitely not!!!!
Yes, he does have a lovely voice. A real soothing radio voice. Long may he reign!!
Hoppy, what do you consider "being past your sell by"?
He still does a job, and well
please dont write ken off yet
hes the only one worth listening to on two after alex lester .

As a comparison, Wogan was years past his sell by date.
No, I think he has a loyal following, and his style is well established.

People in his position tend to be pretty fire-proof - remember Jimmy Young who had to be crowbared out of his chair when they finally got rid!

The worst example of being PC in Beeb radio was shunting the peerless Radcliffe & Maconie to daytime on 6 Music to make way for the dreadful Jo Whiley so they could balance their 'female presenter' ratios - lord knows it's not because she is in any way superior to the dynaic duo.

When I feel masochistic, i tune in and see how long i can manage to stomach her pointless drivel and studenty golly-gosh delivery, before I jump at the rdaio sobbing with loss of the will to live.

I am up to forty now ... that's seconds by the way!!!

Agreed about Alex Lester, Bluebird. He's wasted on the night shift.
