Knowing Jamie it'll have no salt or sugar in - bung a load of that in and you should be fine ;)

tried that karen - but maybe not enough i'll chuck more in - it's the texture that I hate as well, it's like tomato paste!

I'm going to write to him about it...he's just wasted good mince!
That's pure mince by the way ;)
Add loads of chilli
I am surprised - fry up onion, garlic add squirt tomato purée, pinch salt, half teaspoon sugar, chopped fresh herbs, fennel seeds, even ketchup at a push, but then omit the sugar
Question Author
can't add chilli - kids not too keen on that or extra herbs I have already got chopped onion, grated carrot, beef stock and garlic paste chucked in - added more salt, pepper and sugar and it does taste a bit better but the texture is really mushy :o( - it'll have to do - we are all starving!!

well it wasn't too bad in the end - Lloyd's is much better though. I might have overdone the sugar as OH response was that it was a bit sweet! Anyhoo, now trying to remove bolognaise stains a luminous yellow polo shirt!!!
