Old TV Series?

Hi all, I vaguely remember a programme where a newspaper was delivered a day early so the good guy could catch the bad guy or stop major incidents, I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called, I think 70's or 80's any ideas?

Just clicked on the last link-I must have only seen 1st series, never knew it had 4.Anyone know if cable ever repeat it? would it be sky or sci fi channel if anyone did?
