Yes they are - once any fixed price term is over.
is it inflation? or the vat change?
Question Author
contract isnt yet over and isnt vat
back to the contract you go and have a look through the small print to see what circumstances they can change on - I would bet there is something squirreled away about this.......
Have you read the small print?

Have you tried ringing them?

i dont want to go in all guns blazing until i know for sure my rights and as this is an answerbank i thought id check to see if anyone knew first
if you mentioned the company then people would be able to tell you if it's part of their normal T&Cs or not.
Inflation is so low that I'm surprised that they are increasing any charges........
I wouldn't go in 'all guns blazing' anyway. You could politely ask, like Jack said, what inflation?
Question Author
its 3, and just looked at my contract and nothing on there, also was just thinking same about inflation
If you don't mind me asking, How much has it increased by?
Question Author
99p, not much i know but if i dont need to, why should i pay it
Well, phone them and ask what their justification is and under what part of the contract do they have the right - could just be left hand not talking to the right.
99p a month?
Question Author
yes
Could cost you 3 to 6 months worth of increases 'arguing' on the phone - how much longer has the contract to run?

And never mind the wind-up on your stress level, evident already in the fact that you are using ABers to let steam off.....
Gina...that's 3p a day. Will it really be worth the hassle?
Question Author
doesnt cost me anything to call them, and apart from the, why should i pay it, im not letting off steam, just asking if anyone knew
Question Author
yes it will be worth the hassle if i get it back, they have a lot more money than i have
then, as already said, just call and politely enquire why and where the contract states that it can be done.
