I don't think separation counts..........if you're still married she has a claim.

if you are not supporting her financially, the simplest thing to do would be to write a will that dosen't include her. She would find it very hard to claikm anything if she had no financial ties to you

If you are domiciled in England and Wales and you are not divorced your wife has a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975. As a spouse (irrespective of the fact you are separated) her claim is for the enhanced claim of the "spousal" standard and not the maintenance standard. It is incorrect to say that if she is not dependent she would find it difficult.

Seek advice about a potential divorce asap.

Thanks for advice folks.

She has a good job and lives in accommodation with her job.
She was not born in the UK but was granted a Citizenship a few years ago.
My house is owned by the Council in my name only.

You say 'ex wife' so I presume you are divorced therefore she has NO claim on your assets.

Your children will be your beneficiaries unless you state otherwise or remarry.
