How are you watching seekerz, which channel (can I get it here)?
Question Author
go to 'loch of the lowes' and then the swt webcam site, about the 3rd one down, boxy
Got it! Is that mother at the back, or is that another chick? Breathing heavily, whoever it is.
Question Author
that's mother- that's why I'm worried - she's been staggering around the nest and doesn't seem to be able to lift her head, but she was fine yesterday
I understand that bringing up chicks can wear out any mother bird, but she looks very flat. The babies are breathing quite heavily too, I wonder if it's warm up there this morning?
Question Author
could be, but it's early yet. they've been careering around the nest, trying to get her attention for over an hour now.
Have you seen Dad come back with food, as yet? She looked a bit "leave me alone" when she raised her head just now!
who is that cheeping, seekerz, is that a baby or another bird somewhere nearby?
Question Author
dad came in with a fish about 2 hours ago, very little reaction from mum but I think the chicks are hungry now.

can't help with other sounds - I don't have that connected at the moment
just popped back in seekerz, not looking very good - Mum has her wings spread out as if she's trying to cool down. Has there been movement in the last half hour?
Question Author
not really, she tries to lift her head, but it goes down again. the chicks have been preening themselves, but they haven't had a meal yet today and I haven't seen dad since early on.
Can the wardens intervene if the bird is sick, or do they let nature take its course? I saw a message about ringing so presumably they do go to the nest if they have to?
Question Author
oh god i hope so - just that i don't know whether they're aware of it and how long it takes to get to them.

The camera runs all the time - I've logged on at night, just to watch for a bit [ nothing better to do with my time ] there's a number to contact the Edinburgh office but that's about it. though I hope someone in the Uk is able to get through - fingers crossed
not sure if what i have just watched is live or recorded, but the mrs osprey at 9-03am
is stood on the side of the nest with her wings out
I think they are using webcam 2 now, or Mum has moved to the other side of the nest - she'sstill lying down but looking round and a bit of minor wing-flapping. She doesn't look very vigorous, but the tree is moving so perhaps it's really windy - a north wind is forecast today.
boxy can that young chick see the camera move as when the camera moved the young chicks head moved with it
I saw that Drf! Dad just flew in, sat on the edge and cheeped, nobody took a blind bit of notice so he flew off to the nearby tree. I wonder if the wind is making them all lie below nest-wall level - but mum is looking very flat.
she did look at him for a few seconds then dropped her head down
I wonder what time they update the site blog? Yesterday's is still showing.
the webcam as just zoomed in on her so someone must be watching her up there maybe they are worried by the lack of movement
