Can anybody please tell me how long i can claim this, i am off work long term with terminal cancer and unlikely to work any more ,thankyou

Very sorry to hear that druiaghtagh........what does your contract of employment say...
You should be able to get any advice you need from your Macmillan nurse, or on the Macmillan website:

http://www.macmillan.org.uk/Home.aspx

They are very helpful so if you can't find it on the website you can always give them a ring.

26 weeks SSP in any given 12 months
Sorry to hear your sad news.
Speak to Macmillan as they can and will find out of any other benefits you are entitled ot claim inc long term sick pay, disbaled badge for your car etc etc

Once SSP cannot be paid, you should be able to claim incapacity benefit or ESA I think it's now called.
