Hi
Can anyone tell me as next of kin can I request all medical records from her GP nursing home and hospital for my late mother who died in july of this year.

I think that you can, you will probably need proof of your identity and your late mothers death certificate.

Thats not a problem with the ID etc. do I just write to the people concerned .

You are given the right to access the records under the Access to Health Records Act 1990.

Don't know why you want this but you will receive makes extremely tedious reading. It is a catalogue of appointment dates and reasons for attendance at the Docs - it won't give you some great insights into what diagnosis was being made.
get in touch with your local patient advisory liaison service - they will be able to offer guidance and should be able to get the ball rolling for you
