My husband is an American Citizen, we are trying to get him a spousal visa for the uk but he has a criminal record in the states, for grand theft auto and other minor offensive, even though it was a rental car that was left for pick up, he has never been to prison though. I have sufficiant funds in the bank to fund him, i also have a thriving business, moneys no option, i can support him. Do you think he can get a visa, he can also work for my company. Please help.

well we've got half the Eastern Bloc mafia here so I'd say there'd be no problem! He'll probably have more chance if he has a few convictions for racketeering and gun running and ideally dealing in hard drugs then he can fill some vacancies for ciminal types in the major cities, there just aren't enough criminal scum to go round after all. Probably get a goverenment grant too! Have a word with the DTI!
