my ex needed finance for a car and was refused credit. I took out the finance in my name and the dealer listed him as keeper of the vehicle for insurance, etc purposes. I make the payments on the loan.
when we split he took the car and refuses to return it.
he is now telling me he is planning to sell the car.
I have asked that the car be returned to me.
Am I infact the legal owner of the car or is he?
what action can i take?

Hi
This has been asked before on here

Answer is you are the legal owner of the car just because his name is on the logbook that does not mean you own the car. You need to go to an solicitor and have a letter sent saying you want your car back or you will take him to court.
Or phone the police. He has stolen your car.
