Hi,

my girldfriend and i are splitting up and we will be selling our property. When we bought it she put in more money than me as we sold both our old properties. I have been paying all the bills and have decorated from top to bottom inside and out.
Now she is taunting me with the fact that she will walk away with the greater share of the profit.

is this the case ????

Hi ummmmmdedum

When we bought the house a draft document was done stating that if we did split x amount would go to me and x amount to her. This was never signed. so no, we dont
Well in my case (I'm ummmdedum) I had to split the equity 50/50 with my ex even though I got the house on my own and the value went up considerably before I put him on the mortgage.

Hopefully in your case the 50/50 split will cover everything you've paid out.

Hopefully Ethel will answer as she usually knows the facts.
