I need some legal advice please, regarding a hse I bought 20 yrs ago for cash,using an aiias.I now need to sell. How do i change the name on the deeds to mine.Any advice especially legal help would b appreciated

Why did you use an alias and how did you get that past the law firm who purchased for you and HMRC for Stamp Duty?

Saying that the procedures weren't in place that are today.

If there was a valid explaination (court order or witness protection or domestic violence etc...) I'd get in touch with the solicitors who bought, unless it was a DIY job, and get them to sort it for you as they will have records of the circumstances.

You have a problem with the new Money Laundering Regs. The Government will have to be advised who you are and it will get tricky.
