Troublesome Cat

There is a stray cat which is coming into my house via the cat flap and is urinating all over the place. I have tried locking the cat flap, however the wailing of my 3 cats in the middle of the night to get in annoyed our neighbours, which lead to complaints.

My cats are aged 18, 6 and 4 and are outdoor cats. We have lived in the same house for years and there have been no changes which would affect their routine or make them want attention, and they have been checked for urinary infections which came back clear so I have come to the conclusion that it must be the stray that is urinating in my house.

Can anyone offer advice on how to deter this cat, without affecting my other cats as I am at my wits end with the smell!

Thanks in advance

buy one of those magnetic operated catflaps where all your cats will have to wear collars with a magnet on that will operate the catflap. I think the catflap comes with one collar you will have to buy extra ones. You can get them from Pets at home or Argos. The stray cat won't be able to use the catflap unless it happens to have one of these collars on it. Why don't you contact your local cat rescue centre and they would collect the stray for you are sure it definitely doesn't belong to anyone. The poor thing must be starving.
Cats don't like Jeys Fluid - I put it around my front door to stop unwanted spraying. You could put it around your cat flap and other places where the cat is getting in your garden (it may stop yours as well, perhaps you will have to let them in and out for a while). You can buy it in a spray bottle from supermarkets - it doesn't smell too bad! You need to apply it every few days, especially if it has rained. My Mum had a magnetic flap and had to remove it because the cats kept getting their paws trapped.
